Great Opportunity For Bloggers to Encash

February 12th, 2007 by Sarthak K
Payperpost - the erstwhile internet marketing firm that brings advertisers and bloggers together to buy and sell blog posts has often been in the news, more for the wrong reasons than right. Established blogs like Techcrunch and Problogger have quite often ridiculed the concept of such a service, citing that bloggers tend to lose the respect of their readers if they sell their blog posts for advertising.

However, a latest program launched by Payperpost has got me hooked. Tentatively called "Review My Post", this program allows blog readers who also publish a blog to earn by reviewing a particular post on your blog. If you aren't getting anything of what I'm trying to say, I'l explain with an example.

Suppose you're another blogger reading a post on my blog. At the end of my blog post, you will see a banner saying "review my post". Once you click on this banner, you will be taken to a landing page, asking you to sign up with PayPerPost. Having done that, you get a $7.50 opportunity to write a post in your blog reviewing a post on my blog.

That is, you are paid $7.50, just to review a post on my blog on your blog! Sounds weird, but its true. Now while you get the money once your posting is approved, I get backlinks plus $7.50 (we're still in the example phase, I haven't yet decided to use this service). Especially if multiple bloggers review the my post(s), this program does help a lot to build traffic and backlinks. You wont even hfeel the need to say promote my blog to anyone.

According to review my post itself: To get the most out of this program, be sure to place this badge code at the bottom of every post on your blog, even the ones that aren't sponsored posts. The more posts that the badge is tagged to, the wider variety of content potential posties have to blog about when they review your post! The easiest way to achieve this is to simply modify your blog post template so that the badge automatically appears whenever you post a new blog.

So what do I really think about Review my Post...hmm, its pretty difficult to say, especially when its still in its infancy. A lot depends upon the quality of the bloggers (which I guess they will sort out by mentioning a minimum page rank so as to qualify for the program) and also the sevice provided by the staff there. And by that I mean fast approval, faster payments and good publisher support.

So filmmaking blogs or any other blogs, not a bad opportunity really.
